---THE SERVICE---

Know where you stand, in writing

A fire risk assessment is the bit of paperwork every business needs and nobody wants to write. Done properly, it tells you exactly what matters in your building — and what doesn’t.

We carry out practical fire risk assessments for offices, shops, HMOs, schools and managed properties across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall. Expect a proper look around, plain-English findings, and a report you can hand straight to your insurer, your agent or the fire officer.

WHAT AN ASSESSMENT COVERS

A proper look at the whole building

Walk-round, review of how you run things, and everything written down.

Full walk-round of the premises

Escape routes, travel distances and final exits walked and checked in person — not assessed from a desk.

Compartmentation & doors

Fire doors, self-closers and the basic compartmentation that keeps escape routes safe when it counts.

Detection, alarms & equipment

Smoke detection, alarm sounders, emergency lighting and extinguisher provision reviewed against your actual layout.

How it's run day-to-day

Staff training, weekly tests, housekeeping and the management arrangements behind the kit.

Written report

Findings documented in plain English, graded urgent / soon / monitor — with photos where they help.

Action plan & review

A sensible order of works — what genuinely needs doing first, and what can safely wait.

KEEPING YOU COMPLIANT

Reviewed regularly — especially when things change

The Fire Safety Order requires you to review your assessment regularly — most premises do it annually, and always after a layout change, a new tenancy or a fire.

We keep your review date on file and give you a nudge before it falls due — one less thing for the diary.

1 Year
Regular reviews, tracked

Annual reviews for most premises — sooner if the building or use changes.

Already have an old assessment sitting in a drawer?

Send it over. We’ll review it against the current building and either confirm it still stands or quote for a fresh assessment — there’s no point paying for paperwork you don’t need.

---HOW IT WORKS---

From first call to certificate in three steps

01

Free quote & scope

Tell us the kind of building and a rough size — we’ll quote a fixed price in writing, usually the same working day.

02

Site visit & review

A proper walk-round: escape routes walked, equipment checked, and your day-to-day arrangements reviewed.

03

Report & action plan

Written report with prioritised findings — plus a reminder when your review is next due.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Set up for every kind of premises

Offices & shops
HMOs & landlords
Letting & managing agents
Schools & nurseries
Workshops & warehouses
Common parts of blocks

For landlords and agents we can assess multiple properties under one visit plan — one email is enough.

PRICING

Fixed price per building — agreed before we start

Assessments are quoted per building, based on its size, layout and use — a small shop and a six-storey block aren’t the same job, and we price accordingly.

Everything is confirmed in writing before we set a date. If we find far more on site than expected, we stop and re-agree before charging anything extra.
