--- THE SERVICE---

One job, done thoroughly

A fire alarm only earns its keep on the one day everything goes wrong. Our job is to make sure yours is ready for that day — and that you can prove it to your insurer, your fire risk assessor and the fire officer if they ever call.
We service commercial fire alarm systems of all sizes across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall, from single-panel set-ups in small shops to multi-zone addressable systems in schools, offices and HMOs.
--- WHAT'S INCLUDED---

Every visit covers the whole system

Six key checks, every time — no skimming, no shortcuts.

Full control panel and standby battery checks, including fault log review and panel display tests.

Detector testing

Smoke and heat detectors tested on rotation, so every device in the building is covered over the year.

Call points & sounders

Break-glass points operated and alarms checked audibly throughout the whole building.

Fault diagnosis & repairs

Minor faults fixed on the spot where parts are carried on the van — bigger issues quoted separately.

Next-visit reminder

We diarise your next due date and remind you — one less thing on your desk.

--- KEEPING YOU COMPLIANT

How often should your alarm be serviced?

BS 5839-1 recommends that commercial fire alarm systems are serviced at least every six months. Premises with higher fire risk — or where your fire risk assessment says so — may need more frequent attention. We’ll tell you what we’d recommend for your building when we quote, and we won’t sell you visits you don’t need.

The responsible person on site should also still operate a call point each week and record it in the logbook. If your team hasn’t been shown how to do this, we’ll walk them through it during the first visit at no extra charge.

×2 a year
Twice yearly, like clockwork

We book your six-monthly visits in advance so compliance never slips.

Taking over from another contractor?

You don’t need to know the history of your system to call us. We start with an initial inspection, give you a straight answer on the condition of the system, and quote for any remedial work separately — and there’s no charge for that initial look if you go ahead with a service agreement.
